The heavy rains flooded the Miller family's basement. Panicking, the reached out to us at Mid-State Basement Systems for help. We pumped out the water and determined the flooding came from a faulty sump pump and blocked discharge lines. We installed the UltraSump system and re dug new discharge lines to divert water to the street drains. The UltraSump system can pump out an excess of 11,500 gallons of water on a fully charged battery-- that's enough water to fill a small swimming pool!
To alert you of power failure, the UltraSump sounds an alarm when it runs and silences when the pump cycles off.
A homeowner in Marion, OH called Mid-State Basement Systems because there was standing water in her basement and she didn't know what to do. Our crew installed a WaterGuard subfloor drainage system and a TripleSafe sump pump to remove the water and any future water and remove it from the home.
Brenda, a homeowner in Galion, OH, had been experiencing leaks in her basement for years. She had water leaking into her basement and leaving efflorescence (white powder left over when water evaporates) all over her floors. Brenda was concerned about the long-term damage that this might cause to her home, so she called Mid-State Basement Systems.
Our certified inspector, Phil Matthews, went out to the home to inspect the area. He offered Brenda a solution that would help protect her home from future damage.
She decided to go with us for the work and our crew, led by foreman Raul Calderon, installed a WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system around the perimeter of the basement and a SuperSump Plus sump pump that can pump up to 2,220 gallons of water out of the home per hour. The WaterGuard system will also catch any water from underground, the basement floor and wall, and direct it to the sump pump and away from the home.
Brenda is satisfied with our work on her home and no longer worries about damage from water leaks in her basement or anywhere else in her house!
Jim H. in Athens, OH had water coming in through the walls of his basement. One of our inspectors went out to the home and provided a quote to install a WaterGuard perimeter drainage system and a SuperSump sump pump. The inspector also mentioned our BrightWall and ThermalDry flooring options. These are waterproof options to beautify your basement walls and floors. ThermalDry is waterproof, insulated, and matted and comes in a variety of colors and textures. BrightWall is a set of plastic white panels for the walls that covers up unsightly foundation walls and brightens the room! Jim thought that sounded great so he decided to get those installed as well. Here are the results with "elite plank - dark walnut" floors.
This downspout was draining right onto the ground and there was a cavity in front of the door, so water was pooling in front of the garage and damaging the driveway. We rerouted the downspout conductor line and directed it into a new TrenchDrain along the cavity. Now the area will stay dry and look cleaner!
