A beautifully encapsulated crawl space in Fostoria, OH!
We upgraded this homes sump pump and dehumidifier with our TripleSafe sump pump with battery backup, and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.
This crawlspace located in Columbus Grove, Ohio was completely inundated with water. Apart from being a nuisance, this situation can also result in sagging floors, wood decay, and unpleasant odors. The water has the potential to cause such severe damage to the foundation that it compromises the overall structural integrity of the building. Moreover, flooding can foster the growth of mold, posing health risks and respiratory issues. To address this, Mid-State Basement Systems dispatched a team in advance to eliminate the standing water from the crawlspace. The next working day, another crew initiated the process of encapsulation, completely revitalizing the area. By employing various solutions such as WaterGuard, Drainage Matting, CleanSpace, a sump pump system, and SaniDry Sedona, the crawlspace will be transformed into a pristine, dry, and healthy space for the homeowner.
Crawl space vents have consistently demonstrated their inefficiency. Although their initial purpose was to utilize outdoor air for drying crawl spaces, they often cause more harm than good, especially when the outside air is humid, damp, or extremely cold.
As a vital component of our crawl space repair system, we strongly advise sealing off your crawl space vents. By doing so, you effectively prevent outside air from infiltrating, along with the accompanying moisture, pests, winter chill, and summer heat that it brings along. This proactive measure ensures a more controlled and favorable environment within your crawl space.
We installed these crawl space vent covers after a full crawlspace encapsulation, as well as a new entryway into the crawlspace.
