Patrick D. in Nevada, OH called Mid-State Basement Systems because the church building he owned had several severe issues that needed to be repaired. Some of the concrete blocks on one of the walls had shifted inward more than two inches. We sent out our certified inspector, Steve Davis, to inspect the area and provide a free estimate for repair.
Our crew, led by Byron Salinas, was able to use Geo-Lock Channel Anchors to permanently pull the wall back into its original position. These are galvanized steel anchors with one side embedded in the earth outside the building and the other bolted to the inside of the foundation wall.
The church owner is happy with the results and he knows that the congregation will be safer with these updates and repairs.
This customer called Mid-State Basement systems with concerns for their basement. Water was coming in and the wall was starting to crack. Our crews used CarbonArmor straps to secure the walls and the WaterGuard perimeter drain system to complete this project.
Foreman Miguel Martinez and his crew installed nine PowerBrace System i-beams to stabilize these foundation walls. The PowerBrace system is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and can help straighten them over time.
The stairstep cracking in this basement alarmed the homeowner and they wanted a solution, fast. Our crew installed the PowerBrace Wall Repair System to stabilize the foundation wall. The PowerBrace consists of steel I-beams that are secured to the joists above the wall with steel brackets. This system is easily adjustable, allowing for tightening of the brace to attempt to raise the wall back to its original position.
This home had substantial cracking in the foundation that was definitely cause for concern. In this section of the home, we used GeoLock anchors to permanently stabilize the foundation. This was located in the crawl space, so we also installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. GeoLock installation involves drilling holes, mounting the anchors, and tightening the system to stabilize the wall, potentially restoring it to its original condition.
