This basement had large horizontal cracking near the middle of the wall. This is one of the first symptoms you will see in the case of a bowing wall. Cracks like these will start out small and increase over time as the soil outside continues to put pressure on the wall. Utilizing a joist reinforcement method that distributes the load evenly, eliminating the worry of further damage. After noticing some water leakage through a crack in their basement wall, this homeowner called Mid-State Basement Systems for a solution. Our team installed the WaterGuard Interior Drainage System. The WaterGuard system is installed inside the basement along the perimeter to effectively capture wall and floor seepage before it reaches the basement floor. Water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to the sump pump.
