Before the Repairs
Visible cracks in the basement walls and signs of foundation settlement indicated this home needed structural support. Our team assessed the damage and determined that static beams and helical piers were the best solutions for long-term stability.

Signs of Foundation Failure
This basement wall has developed a large horizontal crack-a common sign of bowing due to external soil pressure. As the foundation walls weaken, they start to push inward, compromising the home's structural integrity. Without reinforcement, the wall could continue to bow and eventually fail.

Chimney Pulling Away from the House
Over time, the chimney began separating from the house due to foundation settlement. This happens when the soil beneath the chimney shifts or weakens, causing it to sink at a different rate than the rest of the home. Left unaddressed, this could lead to major structural issues, but our helical piers provide a permanent solution by stabilizing and lifting the chimney back into place.

Attaching the Helical Pier Brackets
Once the helical piers reach the correct depth, we attach heavy-duty brackets to the chimney's footing. This connection transfers the weight of the structure onto the piers, ensuring long-term stability.

Helical Pier Installation - Drilling into Stable Soil
To support the settling chimney, we install helical piers. These steel piers are advanced deep into the ground until they reach stable soil, creating a solid base that prevents further sinking.

Securing the Static Beams
Each static beam is anchored at the top and bottom of the basement wall using a secure bracket system. This setup helps stabilize the wall and prevent further inward movement over time.

Placing the Static Beams for Maximum Support
Once the basement walls are prepped, we position each static beam vertically along the wall at precise intervals. These beams are strategically placed to counteract the pressure from expanding soil and prevent further bowing, keeping the foundation secure.

Secure Basement
With static beams reinforcing the walls, helical piers stabilizing the chimney, and the SaniDry Sedona managing moisture, this basement is now safe, secure, and ready for years of worry-free use!

Finished Helical Pier Installation
After completing the helical pier installation, we carefully replace the excavated soil but don't compact it. This is because tightly packed soil can hold water, leading to drainage issues and additional pressure against the foundation. Instead, we let natural settling occur over time, ensuring proper drainage and preventing future soil-related problems.
