Challenge

This homeowner has lived in his home for many years and planned on it being his forever home and passing it down to his family. Unfortunately,  for the past few years he has had problems with flooding in his basement. He had been using his basement for storage, but the frequent heavy rains in the spring would bring in water and his storage space became smaller and smaller. He was ready for a permanent fix, so he could take back his basement! 

Solution

Our solution was to install our waterproofing products around the perimeter of his basement and install one of our best sump pumps.

First, we had the homeowner clear out any small personal items and our crew removed bookshelves and larger items out of the way. Our crew then removed old foam insulation that was used to try to keep the leaking from the corner of the basement at bay. DIY fixes are not the way to go for serious flooding in your home. 

We then jackhammered the perimeter of the basement to make way for our products and made weep holes in the wall, so trapped water could find its way out. They then installed the WaterGuard and TrenchDrain around the perimeter of the basement. The WaterGuard is best for collecting water from the surface area and walls, and the TrenchDrain is great for collecting water at openings, such as garage doors. These products then get cemented into your floor for that permanent fix! We also installed a new TripleSafe Sump Pump with Battery Backup, to ensure the beasement stays dry, all the time!
