Crawl Space Covered in Tarlton, OH

This homeowner considered encapsulating his damp concrete-floor crawlspace, where the insulation was beginning to fall. He arranged for a waterproofing specialist to inspect the area, answer his questions, develop a repair plan, and provide a free estimate. Impressed by the proposal and the cost, he decided to proceed with the project.

The solution began with the installation of CleanSpace Drainage Matting on the floor, designed to eliminate standing water and direct it to the SmartSump sump pump system. The efficient and compact SmartSump pumps the water out and away from the home, dispersing it through the LawnScape discharge outlet on the lawn. For protection during colder months, an IceGuard was added along the discharge route to prevent flooding from ice blockages. Finally, airtight CleanSpace vent covers were installed to seal out moisture, and a CleanSpace liner was applied to complete the encapsulation, effectively preventing water vapor from entering the crawlspace.

Keeping Tarlton Basement Dry

This homeowner had been living in her century-old house for 10 years. She had been having the issue of water in her basement ever since she moved in. It was always on her mind to get the problem fixed, but she never got around to doing it. Crawl Space Repaired in New Home

This homeowner had just moved into his home and noticed very high humidity levels in the crawl space. He could feel the moisture on the walls and could see the damage the moisture was causing damage to the floor joists. Brian knew he had to do something to protect his home so he called Mid-State Basement Systems to schedule a free, no obligation estimate on what needed to be done.

Our inspector came out to the home and inspected his basement and crawl space. He recommended a comprehensive solution composed of our patented crawl space encapsulation products.

SmartPipe and a SmartSump system were the first items to be installed. The combination of these two systems will allow for water to drain and be pumped out of the crawl space. SliverGlo insulation was installed on the walls of the crawl space. Not only will SilverGlo keep the outside air out and the inside air in, but it also helps to keep moisture from entering the space. To permanently seal out the moisture, our heavy duty, antimicrobial plastic liner was installed around the entire crawl space. Our liner includes a mold-resistant additive so it will never grow mold or mildew. The final touch was the SaniDry dehumidifier to remove any excess moisture from the air. The SaniDry empties directly into the SuperSump so it never needs dumped.
