A. B. in Norwich, OH called Mid-State Basement Systems after doing a Google search for foundation repair in his area. His basement foundation walls had stair-step cracks all along them. So, we sent out one of our inspectors to provide a free inspection and quote. A. B. decided to go with us for the work. Our crew installed 17 carbon fiber straps to prevent the walls from moving any further. These are straps made of carbon fiber (a material with a very high tensile strength, which means it is nearly impossible to rip without a tool). The crew also sealed up all the existing cracks.
Now the homeowner does not need to worry about his foundation walls shifting. If A. B. sees a finished basement in his future, he can cover up those walls with drywall without fear of further cracking.
