Basement Waterproofing, Crawl Space Encapsulation & Foundation Repair in Jackson, OH

Facing a damp concrete-floor crawlspace with falling insulation, this homeowner thought about encapsulation. He wasn't sure where to begin, only seeing photos of what it could look like. He arranged for a waterproofing specialist to inspect the area, answer questions, devise a repair plan, and offer a free estimate. Happy with the plan and its cost, he decided to go ahead with the work.

The project started with the installation of CleanSpace Drainage Matting on the crawlspace floor to manage standing water by directing it to the SmartSump sump pump system. The SmartSump pumps the water out and away from the house, releasing it through the LawnScape discharge outlet onto the lawn. An IceGuard was added along the discharge route to prevent flooding during colder months when ice might form. Finally, airtight CleanSpace vent covers were installed to seal out moisture, and a CleanSpace liner was added to complete the encapsulation, further preventing water vapor from entering the space.

These Jackson, OH homeowners, were concerned about their sinking foundation. Not really sure how  or why it was happening, they gave us a call to investigate. One of our trained inspectors designed a solution to restore the foundation to its original position.

Our crew installed 5 Push Piers. These steel push piers feature a patent-pending external sleeve that strengthens the pier at the critical tension point below the bracket. Push piers are installed next to the footings and attached with a heavy duty steel bracket. Soil is backfilled around the piers once stabilization and lifting is complete to finish the installation. Push Piers restore the foundation to its original position and provide support for the home. With the installation of Push Piers, the homeowners no longer have to worry about their foundation collapsing.

This homeowner had old insulation in his crawlspace falling down and letting moisture in. He had been noticing a musty odor in the spring and summer when he opened up his house. He called us for a free, no obligation estimate on what needed to be done in his crawlspace. 

The solution to the homeowner's concerns included encapsulation and sump pump system. Drainage matting was installed across the floor of the crawl space. In addition, a SuperSump sump pump and UltraSump battery back up pump were installed. The drainage matting and sump pump system work together to remove water from the space. To keep moisture from ever entering the space, our patented heavy duty, anti-microbial CleanSpace liner was installed across the entire space.

To remove moisture from the air, a SaniDry self-draining dehumidifier was added to the space and connected directly to the sump pump system.

The musty smell is now gone and and the rest of the crawlspace is protected against moisture. 

This homeowner was in need of a sump pump system in his basement to keep it permanently dry. He called Mid-State Basement Systems and we got to work.
